Xylanase Enzyme

Xylanase Enzyme

Xylanase in poultry feed improves gut health by breaking down arabinoxylan in feed grains, reducing intestinal viscosity, and enhancing nutrient absorption. This reduction in viscosity aids in better mixing of digesta with pancreatic juices and biliary secretions, improving the emulsification and absorption of saturated fatty acids. Xylanase also promotes the growth of fiber-degrading bacteria in the large intestine, increasing nutrient release and digestibility. For example, xylanase in laying hens' diets significantly boosts beneficial bacteria. In broilers on wheat-based diets, xylanase supplementation enhances growth efficiency and apparent metabolizable energy by releasing arabinose and xylose in the small intestine.
